Witness the birth of a new music festival brand together: Spread the panda culture and tell the Chinese stories
On September 12, under the guidance of Sichuan Provincial People's Government Information Office, Sichuan Forestry Department, Chengdu Municipal People’s Government Information Office and Chengdu Forestry and Landscape Administration Bureau, co-organized by China Mobile Communications Corporation Sichuan Co., Ltd.， and Xindu District Business and Tourism Bureau; and with the support of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the event that kicked off the 2018 Chengdu International Panda Music Festival, hosted by Migu Music Co., Ltd. was held in Chengdu. Dai Guangju, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government Information Office, attended the event and made an important speech. Liu Bing – Inspector of the Sichuan Forestry Department, Cai Lijiang - Deputy Director of the Press Release Department of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government Information Office, Luo Xiaohui – Deputy Inspector of Chengdu Forestry and Landscape Administration Bureau, Zhang Zhihe – Secretary and Director of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Zhang Junxian - Deputy Director of Xindu District Business and Tourism Bureau, Zheng Xudong - Deputy General Manager of China Mobile Communications Corporation Sichuan Co., Ltd., the Party Secretary and General Manager of Migu Music, and other relevant leaders and guests attended the ceremony. They jointly kicked off the 2018 Chengdu International Panda Music Festival.
Dai Guangju, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government Information Office - Dai Guangju, said that we should allow more people to understand the cultural value connotations of giant pandas; promote the special IP of giant pandas to become a window for people at home and abroad to understand Sichuan; and enhance Sichuan's popularity, reputation, and influence in the world. Then, according to Liao Yu, the Party Secretary and General Manager of Migu Music, the panda base and Migu will work together to create Panda IP over a 10-year period, with the ultimate goal of creating a panda IP brand and image with Chinese elements and world-class influence, and the music festival is just the preface of the plan.

Why is it called panda music festival? Because they do have pandas - you can watch pandas after listening to music, experiencing panda culture in all aspects.
At the launch event, Liao Yu, the Party Secretary and General Manager of Migu Music, introduced the background of the 2018 Chengdu International Panda Music Festival and the innovative interactive activities of the music festival, which were divided into two sections. The online section mainly focuses on the public benefit popularization of environmental protection with pandas as the carrier and panda interaction zone; as for the offline section, focusing on panda street, panda-themed children's stage plays, panda sports meets, a panda museum, panda art exhibition (dimensional), panda-themed cultural and creative fair, panda-themed cuisine and other IP, a comprehensive experience area will be built inside the music festival to fully let visitors immerse themselves in the panda culture. Among them, the Panda Tea House, a pure original children's music drama produced by both parties, is the first panda-themed freehand experiential children's stage play in Sichuan province. Taking the national treasure giant panda as the theme, integrating the treasures of Ba-Shu culture such as face-changing, hand shadow puppetry, and other multi-element artistic expression forms, combining the expression form of the contemporary popular song and dance dramas - immersive stage, with a humorous artistic attitude, the scene in the old Chengdu city teahouse and a touching story which takes place between the giant pandas and their companion animals is presented to the audience.
Zhang Zhihe, Director of the Panda Base, said that since the panda base was established in 1987, thanks to the efforts over two generations, it has established the world's largest giant panda captive population which has 196 giant pandas, and the park is full of charming giant pandas.
This new music festival has a strong lineup, not only does it have international artists performing, but also has the charming national treasure that is the giant panda to support it.

At the launch event, Gumi Music officials released details of the 2018 Chengdu International Panda Music Festival. The festival will be held at Baoli Park 198 on October 1 and October 2, and its lineup includes musicians and music groups such as Luo Dayou, Wu Qingfeng, Lao Lang, New Pants, Good Sister, SNH48.
