Recently, the Giant Panda National Park Spring Festival themed publicity campaign – Park City at the Foot of Snow-capped Mountains and the National Park at the Doorstep was launched at the Chengdu Panda Base. Hosted by the Chengdu Park City Construction Administration, undertaken by the Giant Panda National Park Administration Chengdu Branch, and co-organized by the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Chengdu People’s Park, and Chengdu Qingtang Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., this campaign has enjoyed support from the CCTV Panda Channel and Pandapia and has adopted a model of offline creative exhibition + self-guided interaction with gifts. The offline creative exhibition will last until February 26.

The atmosphere at the activity was electric. Citizens listened with rapt attention to the staff’s interpretations, exchanged ideas, asked questions, and actively participated in interactive activities. Parents brought their children to learn about science and the Giant Panda National Park on the exhibition boards; young girls and boys took Spring Festival themed photos with giant pandas in the creative exhibition; and the adults also learned a lot of little-known facts about giant pandas and other wild animals through interactive games on-site. They can also win a ton of popular science gifts while widening their knowledge.

This thematic popular science publicity campaign seeks to help the general public better understand the Giant Panda National Park and re-understand Chengdu, the park city at the foot of snow-capped mountains; and to learn about the rich biodiversity in the Giant Panda National Park, as well as the construction and research & conservation work in the Chengdu area of ​the Giant Panda National Park.
