Giant Pandas “Meng Meng” and “Jiao Qing” of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding Leave for Berlin, Germany Proofreader: Charlene Johnson   Time: 2017-07-01

Four-year-old female panda “Meng Meng” and seven-year-old male panda “Jiao Qing” of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding took a flight from Chengdu to Germany on the morning of June 24 for a 15-year cooperation project on international giant panda research and conservation. After arriving in Germany, these two giant pandas will live in a new “Panda Garden”, a nearly 5,500-m2 home built for them by the Berlin Zoo.
At their new home, the two pandas will have their own 1,000-m2 outdoor space and will share a 250- m2 indoor space for living, treatment, quarantine and storage.
