A member of the Communist Party of China, Ms. Chen became a panda keeper in 1998 and currently serves as one of the heads of the panda care team. Over her 20-year career, she has exemplified the vanguard role of a Communist Party member, leading her colleagues in panda conservation efforts and successfully breeding over 140 panda cubs. From 2006 to 2022, she has participated in multiple international panda conservation projects, all of which were successful. Her team has been awarded the "May 1st Labor Pioneer" by Chengdu City in 2009, the "Workers' Pioneer" by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions in 2013, and she was recognized as a "Good Worker of Chengdu" by the Chengdu Federation of Trade Unions in 2014. In 2018, she was named an "Excellent Animal Caretaker" by the Chinese Association of Zoological Gardens, and in 2021, she was honored as an "Outstanding Communist Party Member" by the Chengdu Park City Administration Bureau and awarded the title of the 6th Chengdu Model of Professional Dedication and Moral Integrity.
