Caring for Giant Pandas Through Philanthropic Donations
——Donation Proposal

Giant pandas are considered China’s national treasure. Their unique beauty and behavior bring joy to humanity and a familiarity with nature that reconnects us with something primal and mysterious. One step toward peaceful coexistence and sustainable growth for humans and wildlife alike is the effort to protect and promote the cause of giant pandas. In so doing, we can affect positive environmental change on a global scale.

China’s government attaches great importance to giant panda conservation efforts and devotes considerable resources and support to safeguarding the nation’s most treasured animal. In 1987, the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation was established. Backed by the Department of Civil Affairs of Sichuan Province, the foundation received strong support and funding from well-known enterprises and wildlife conservation organizations at home and abroad. Since the foundation’s beginning, all funds raised have been used for research and conservation of giant pandas. Over the past two decades, breakthroughs in the survival and breeding of giant pandas can look to the projects funded by the foundation for those successes.

Conservation of endangered animals like the giant panda, is a long-term and challenging social undertaking. There is much work to do and common concern and support of the Chinese people and citizens from every country is needed to succeed. Please consider how you might financially support the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation in its work of giant panda breeding and conservation-related projects. If everyone takes to heart the work of endangered animal conservation, our world will be a better place to live and thrive together.

Let us join hands and work together to preserve this precious gift; China’s national treasure. We look forward to your participation and financial support in the ongoing work of giant panda breeding and conservation.
